Artist's background
Bianca Pastel is a Chicago based artist influenced by '90s movies/cartoons, Art Deco, photography, and music. She has an educational background in art and design from Columbia College, and her portfolio ranges from album covers and children's book illustration, to animation and graphic design. Her work has also been featured in several Chicago based art galleries. Pastel aspires to use art to ''remind people of childhood memories and give her audience a feeling of nostalgia.''

''Throughout the film, Joe learns some very valuable lessons on his journey, so I wanted to express the connection between the colors, characters and stories in every detail. My favorite part of this process was choosing color palettes because, for me, it's like picking a feeling. How I want a piece to feel depends on the colors I create with. Throughout the process, I realized I could create authenticity, be myself with my process and have fun with my art—which is exactly what I did.''
